Intestinal parasites usually invade the large intestines when one has an overgrowth of candida albicans. Candida is a yeast-like fungus that naturally lives in the body. However, it can sometimes overproduce in one's colon because of an overuse of antibiotics and corticosteroids. Food allergies, bad diet, chlorinated water and even pollution can also cause this candida overgrowth and parasites. Parasites thrive on yeast. Fortunately, one can eliminate parasites by eating certain foods.
Fresh Vegetables
One can eat fresh vegetables to rid their body of parasites. Juicing is best because the body can better absorb the vitamins and minerals in liquid form. Another benefit of juicing is that people can consume more fresh vegetables this way. Fresh vegetables have digestive enzymes that can kill yeast caused by candida overgrowth. It is important to kill excess candida because parasites feed and thrive on it.
Fresh vegetables also contain high levels of vitamin A, C, and K and B vitamins. Some of these vitamins have antioxidant capabilities, which protect healthy cells and get rid of unhealthy ones (ones fraught with parasites). Fresh vegetables that are used to kill systemic yeast and parasites include cabbage, spinach, onions, all squash except zucchini, beets, celery, eggplant, Brussels sprouts, carrots, cucumbers, yams, radishes, kale, garlic, parsley and wheat grass.
Fresh Fruits
Juicing with fruits is another way to rid the body of parasites. The majority of fruits are alkaline foods, which can produce pH levels in the body that kill parasites. Fruits are also natural laxatives and can loosen the bowels. People with candida overgrowth usually have clumps of feces and mucus lining the walls of their colon. These impactions usually contain amalgamations of yeast, toxins and parasites. Fruits that are used to kill parasites in the bowels include bananas, strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, oranges, pineapples, mangoes, cantaloupe, plums and raisins.
Buttermilk & Yogurt
Buttermilk is often used as a final resort to kill stubborn parasites. Yogurt is also effective in ridding the body of parasites. Both foods have probiotics or flora that can replenish the natural good bacteria in the digestive tract and large intestines. These probiotics kill parasites and systemic yeast. People often add salt, roasted cumin and ground pepper to buttermilk to further enhance its potency. People should drink at least three or four glasses of buttermilk each day to get rid of parasites.
Nuts & Seeds
Nuts and seeds can also help eliminate parasites in the large intestines. They contain lots of fiber ,which fosters movement of the bowels. Whole flax seeds, almonds and soy nuts are often consumed to cleanse the colon and get rid of parasites. Some other nuts and seeds that have high levels of fiber are Brazil nuts, macadamia nuts, coconuts, pistachios, walnuts, peanuts and sunflower, sesame and pumpkin seeds.
Cereals
Cereal grains are also highly effective in killing excess candida and parasites. Like nuts and seeds, cereals contain high levels of fiber. Most wheat, rye, corn and rice cereals can held rid the large intestines of parasites. Oatmeal and oat bran are also effective. People with food allergies may need to stick to non-gluten cereals such as brown rice cereals. Oats have low levels of glutens and can usually be added to the diet after a couple of weeks.
